How to survive an all-nighter

We can be incredibly productive in short, focused sessions. All you need is food, drink and focus.

All-nighters are an obligatory part of the university experience for disorganised students. For most, they're a grimacing experience. But some thrive under pressure, producing their best work at 4am with an impending 7am deadline.

The truth is that all-night essay crises have always been, and remain, dreadful, lonely and humiliating.

It's midnight and the panic is setting in. A bizarre double-think consumes your caffeinated mind. On the one hand, the morning is freedom, when the confines of your bedroom cease to be prison walls and you can finally sink under that soft duvet.

On the other, the morning is doom. Somehow those 200 words on the computer screen have to become 2,000.

Could a man and a woman be "just" friends?

Can it be possible or is it just one of the old myths? Are we able to believe and find ourselves in a non-sexual relationship between man and woman?

Personally, I think there isn't any "true" answer to this question. Everyone has different approach and experience regarding true friendship. A coin has always two sides, that is why one of the sides, he or she, will be probably interested in more than just a platonic relationship.

Have you ever heard a saying: "men are from Mars and women are from Venus". I think the catchphrase is commonly used for both genders to show and to explain basic difference in thinking, communication style or expression of feelings.

Refining Your Reality

I've been confronting myself a lot about every aspect of my life the past months. Not entirely sure of the ultimate effect that it has on my mentality, or perception, I'm starting to play with the idea of taking the next step. 
I've faced my demons, I've become more comfortable in my skin than I ever have, and it's time to put these realizations into practical use. The more you become aware of the changes, the evolution of meaning to the things around you, the more prominent of a reality they become. Without realization, the bubble of oblivion you've created yourself remains in tact;sheltered, for good or bad, from the vast possibilities outside of your realm.

The First Person To Expect Love From Is Yourself

What is love? When I talk about love, I am not only referring to romantic love, but to all kinds of love. Love for your friends, love for your co-workers, love for your family, love for your neighbors, love for those who act the way you want them to and love for those who act in way that you don’t always agree… all kinds of love.

Is there enough love in the world at the moment? Or should I ask, is there enough love in your world at the moment, in your life? People will often answer no to that question, there is not enough love, not in the world, not in their world and not in their own life and they will often blame some outside forces for this shortage of love.

How We Judge People

Sometimes when someone ask us why we like (romantic/platonic) a person, we find it hard to answer. We would try to flip through the person’s personality in our heads and answer with random and general answers: He’s nice, she’s pleasant, he’s funny, she’s friendly.

But that’s not actually true. He might be nice, but that is not precisely why you like him. She might be pleasant, but that is also not precisely why you like her.

People are born to be subjective. As a result, how one perceives a person is more likely than not different to how another perceives the same person. So it is not always uncommon to hear that person A say person B is nice while person C say person B is not nice. So who is speaking the truth here? Truth here implies an objective fact and since people are subjective people, neither person A nor person C is correct. Yes?

RISET PASAR : Top of Mind Merek Deterjen di Kalangan Mahasiswa FEB UB

            Untuk mengetahui merek deterjen yang menjadi Top of Mind pada kalangan mahasiswa FEB UB, kami melakukan riset dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner. Responden kami terdiri dari 50 orang mahasiswa FEB UB, yaitu 25 orang perempuan dan 25 orang laki-laki. Berdasarkan kuesioner tersebut diperoleh data bahwa yang menjadi Top of Mind merek deterjen adalah deterjen dengan merek Rinso dengan jumlah pemilih sebanyak 35 orang. Dan merek deterjen lain yang juga diingat oleh responden adalah Daia, Attack, dan Soklin.

Berburu oleh-oleh khas di Kota Malang setelah berlibur kinipun menjadi lebih bervariat. Mengenai alasan Anik menjadikan tempe sebagai bahan dasar brownies, ia mengaku terinspirasi dengan brownies kukus khas Bandung, Jawa Barat. "Di Bandung kan booming brownies kukus, nah saya buat brownies tempe," ungkap Anik.Ibarat gayung bersambut, terobosan Anik dalam membuat brownies kukus berbuah manis. Usahanya berhasil diminati masyarakat.
